WEEK 79: CIVIL BLOCKADES. 105 DEGREES WEATHER.

Villamontes is going great!

The work here is really going along very well. I am happy that the Lord has placed me here during such a crucial time of this Branch.

We are trying to get the attendance up so that we can be approved to start building the new chapel. We are actually in a house church right now. So we need to work and baptize a lot so that we can have the best chapel in the Yacuiba District.

We have been having some hard times getting around. There is a civil blockade going on throughout all of the city. We haven't been able to use the micros or taxis while the city has been in this blockade.

We had to go pick up the Mission nurses on Tuesday. So while it was 105 degrees outside, we walked for at least an hour and a half to pick up Sister Missionaries so that they could see some special medical clinic. Then we just walked around and didn't have any lessons.

But the fruits have come as we baptized a family this week. Franklin and Maite Robles were baptized on Saturday. My companion baptized them. And then we had a nice lesson with them afterward.

Scripture of the Week:
3 Nephi 14:16-20

Ye shall know them by their fruits.  Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them.
